  • Gathered detailed conversion funnel insights - Used data from Google analytics & other platforms to build insights into user behaviour on the platform.
  • Explored design concepts - Used sketches, wireframes and user flows to communicate and review designs with product stakeholders.
  • Developed detailed prototypes - Validated designs with detailed prototypes, both for usability testing and working with stakeholders on technical and busines
  • Managed testing - Set up, monitored and reviewed A/B testing alongside marketing stakeholders to review and iterate on our features as we launched them.

Impact

  • Aligned developers, design team and executive on customer needs and potential opportunities.

Drag & Drop coding for kids

Code Camp
UX Designer
2017 - Current

Our goal was to create a simpler, touch-friendly redesign & future roadmap of features for our coding education platform, "Code Camp World". I led the discovery, prototyping, interaction design & iteration efforts .

    What did I do?

    • Conducted user research & testing: Conducted field interviews & usability testing with our little customers and collected usage data to build mental models of our kids and their current challenges with the platform.
    • Competitive analysis: looked at other major platforms with an eye for useful features, and evaluated their how certain features could help solve our problems, or be improved upon.
    • Explored design concepts: Constructed array of low fidelity wireframes and prototypes over a wide range of features and test fit for usability, business/technical requirements extc.
    • Developed designs: Worked with a visual designer to create detailed final designs & assist handover to developers.
    • Monitored post-launch performance: Performed field usability testing to iterate on designs after launch.

    Impact

    • Build understanding & agreement on current platform usage & experience pitfalls.
    • Designed, prototyped and tested a tablet-usable experience that has been deployed to more than 10,000 students.
    • Created a roadmap of new features (like project sharing & remixing for kids) & associated initial designs, fixes & "UX Debt" backlog.

    UX Designer
    2017 - Current

Rebuilding Code Camp's CMS to help employees manage camps & ease new employees into their roles, including a complete navigation redesign & new workflows. I led discovery, design & testing across this project.

    What did I do?

    • Conducted user research: Interviewed employees, set up card sorting exercises & organised usage data to build an idea of current pain points.
    • Redesigned information architecture: Worked with executives to build a completely new IA that reflected the results of our research and future business intentions.
    • Explored & validated design concepts: Used wireframes and built simple prototypes to test with our employees & against business requirements.
    • Handover & audit: Handed over designs & worked with developers to implement the new work.

    Impact

    • Designed new workflow for school & camp pipeline management that reduced the need for management of tasks across multiple tools.
    • Created new information architecture that made it easier for new employees in international offices to find relevant information, and simplified navigation for existing users.
